June 10th is National Iced Tea Day in the United States. 🍹
As most of the United States is likely now on their summer vacation in some way shape or form, it makes sense that iced tea finally gets the attention it deserves on this special day in June, which also happens to be the National Tea Month of record as well.
Tea is the most widely consumed beverage in the world next to water, and can be found in almost 80% of all U.S. households. It is the only beverage commonly served hot or iced, anytime, anywhere, for any occasion. On any given day, over 159 million Americans are drinking tea. – TeaUSA.org
How can I honor National Iced Tea Day with a proper emoji?
Personally, I think there’s still a bit of a travesty in the emoji category of Food & Drink if we can’t get a proper glass of sweet iced tea with a lemon wedge to accent, but I’d say the most obvious choice today would be to use the tropical drink emoji quite liberally.
